Erm, hey there. My name is Phil. I'm friends with Nickabsurdhero. I'm a screenprinter/designer currently living in Alabama. I met Nick way back in the day when we were both actively running our own webcomics. I saw your advice to him on one of his recent posts and thought it was pretty excellent, so I thought I'd add you to see what other goodness might lie beneath this friends-only cover.

sounds good. half of it's fluff and half of it's me being in Japan. You're welcome to come inside.

I met Nick through his girl partner Chris who I met in college and I lived with him for a few years before I decided to go with Curi to the land of the Rising sun and left Nick with my boyfriend in our house. I'm teaching English in elementary school on a little island near Taiwan and I'll be back state side before Dragon Con (September) this year.

Right on :) My old friend Racheluberdweeby is in Toyama teaching elementary school students with the JET program. Seems I'm meeting lots of LJers that are doing such things :)

Do you have any idea what you'll pursue when you return stateside?

I've signed the papers saying that I'll not be staying another year, so I'll be home in the fall. Hopefully sometime after seeing China/Taiwan for a bit and then backpacking around mainland Japan. Part of being stuck on a beautiful subtropical island, it costs an arm and a leg to actually see the rest of japan.

Hmm, how long has ms. rachel been with the program? I just started on it this year.

Um, I'm not sure specifically, but a few years... *thinks*

Thinking about the timeline, 2.5 seems accurate, but it seems like she's been there longer. I don't really know. If you're interested, you could friend and ask her, she's a cool person.
